I love how the west loving neocons love to never mention the CIA out posts set up in Ukraine from early 2000's and worst of all the 14,000 Russian speaking people killed in Odessa 2014. Ukraine has never been anything other than regime change in Moscow and the gullible Europeans in destroying their own economies to achieve this on behalf of the USA.

Nor the literally scores of biological warfare labs set up and run in Ukraine, in many cases explicitly to find pathogens aimed specifically at people of Russian descent.

"Of course, we should not take the whole blame. After all, it was Russia which invaded Ukraine".

And it was Britain that invaded Germany in WW2, not the other way around. After Britain and France had initiated hostilities by declaring war on Germany after its invasion of Poland. Germany never wanted a war with Britain, and Hitler made repeated generous peace offers. Churchill ignored or rejected those with contumely, perhaps because it was in his own personal interests that the war continue. Without the millions of pounds given him by wealthy Jews he would have been bankrupt and out of politics in 1940. Should a national leader ever be so heavily indebted to foreigners?

"Maidan had led to the Russian annexation of Crimea and the insurrection of the Russian speaking provinces of Donetz and Lugansk".

Secession, not insurrection. They voted by large majorities to return to the Russian Federation - as did Crimea, which was not "annexed". If it is ever legitimate for the people of parts of a nation-state to vote for secession, those votes were legitimate. Unlike some others.

I don't recall that the American colonies held referenda on their secession from Great Britain. Their leaders simply met and decreed that it was to be so.

I love the idea that the leaders of France and Germany colluded with the Ukrainians in 2014. If they did, they would be in a better position to help Ukraine than they are today. Years to obtain consent to transfer military aircraft to Ukraine. Still no serious arms transfers. Russia has built complete factories to manufacture the drones they formerly bought from Iran. The West needed Trump to shake them awake and it will be years before they are battle ready. Ukraine has hung on, as Finland did in WW2, until Russia learns that the fight is not worth the result.
